Tuesday afternoon Cecil County experienced a tremor originating from an earthquake which occurred in Richmond, Virginia. In order to allow time to further inspect our school facilities, the Superintendent has decided to postpone the opening of school until Thursday, August 25. School will not be in session tomorrow as previously scheduled. Schools and offices will be closed for 10 and 12 month staff, including Central Office, with the exception of maintenance staff and head custodians who are to report on time. No other staff members will be permitted to be in the buildings.
