Tan Free Week at Sunsational Tanning...

I'm not big on tanning for several reasons:

1.  I'm pretty pale and it sure does take a big commitment to tan (and it still isn't that tan)
2.  It can become expensive with package deals and lotions
3.  I decided a few years back that tanning wasn't necessary and I would benefit physically by not participating in extra UV rays.  I do still spray tan every once in a blue moon.

That being said...

Sunsational Tanning is having their annual Tan Free Week at all of their locations...  Although I don't currently tan, this is where I did tan and they were always friendly, clean and modern/up to date with beds and products.  Check them out if you get a chance this week.  Most of the locations are in Cecil County, MD, however they do have a Delaware location as well.

Here is a link to their website.

$30 Challenge - Weeks 9 and 10

So, If you haven't noticed, I've been a little busy lately and have been slacking on my blogponning....
So I'm gonna catch up real quick if I can:
Here is how I did during Week 8:

Martins:  $5.42
McDonald's:  $8.46 + $5.29 - Darn you Chicken Bites
Walmart:  $.24
Walgreens:  $5.89
ACME:  $7.73
Rite Aid:  $.64
Target:  $2.91
PetSmart:  $2.00
Total:  $38.58

I have no idea how I did during Week 9, I mean, I could look it all up and really think about it, but lets just call it a wash (much like a bad day on a diet).

So Week 10 is here and I'm gonna track real good... that is my goal for this week.

Blogponning...

BLOGPONNING

- A combination of spending too much time reading/writing blogs and couponing...
(thank you to my dear husband for creating this word, I LOVE IT)

I have a slight addiction to reading blogs:

And trying to write this one:

As well as a passion for all things coupons:

Although many of you keep telling to me try out Pinterest, I still haven't ventured onto it.
I'm too worried about adding another thing to my already too long list of addictions.
So for now, I'll just keep one less thing off my list that my husband can pick at me about.

I actually shopped at Food Lion

I know I don't usually have much to say about Food Lion (at least positive) but they are having a pretty decent sale on produce this week.  The Bestie and I armed our beautiful ladies with lollipops from the bank and did a little shopping.  Here is what I got:

Grapefruit $.69 each
Green Peppers 2/$1.00
Grapes $.99/lb
Bagged Salad $.99
Bag of Carrots $1.00

Oppsy, I paid $3.99 for Strawberries, apparently I misread a sign that was for something else (I thought it was for $1.88).  Happens to the best of us.

$30 Challenge - Week 8

I was really busy this past week and wasn't totally interested in anything.  I did make a quick run to Martins ($11.31) in the begining of the week, but seriously (HONESTLY) that was it.  I sent my hubby out to pick up a few things for the my Huggies Pull Up Party, and surprisingly, he did good.  He spent $24.71 for all of the items I needed without any coupons.  I was feeling under the weather and couldn't pull it together and he graciously offered to go AND take Lady G (score) so it was well worth the 45 minute nap I got on the couch.

Total for week 7:  $36.02 - A little over budget, but I'll take it!

Tips for Week 8???
  • Menu Plan - that is really working for me
  • Eat out less often
  • Use that CASH - instead of the debit/credit card I mean
Anyone else wanna chime in and let us know how you are doing?  Leave a comment.

New E-Coupons from Martins...

Martins came out with a new set of E-coupons to load to your store loyalty card.

I also got an exciting Mailer from Martins with some great coupons as well - most especially a Diet Coke coupon.  Another exciting thing, I got two coupons from the Catalina machine last week, one for $1.00 off your next bath tissue purchase and $1.00 off your next paper towel purchase.  This definitely will make for some free or near free paper products.  Have you gotten any great coupons from the Catalina?

Go here to load the coupons to your card.  Remember, you can stack these with Manufacture coupons and if you have any trouble redeeming them, take your print out and your receipt to customer service.  They were really helpful when I had a problem with one coming off.  Here they are:

$30 Challenge- Week 7

Confession:  I've been really busy this week and kind of lost track of my spending.  Here is what I do know.  I started the week with $30.00 cash, and I don't have any left.  So I used it all, but I'm not sure I can capture exactly what on though...

Here's what I do know I spent during week 6:
  • CVS -  $15.53
  • Target - I know I went there and can't find the receipt
  • Border Cafe - not sure what the total was...
Total:   $30.00

Even though I'm not sure what I spent my money on, I did manage to stay within my budget.  I think I may have even gotten Mr. I Dream of Saving on board as well.
At least for one week anyways...

Insight into Week 7:
  • Track better this week.
  • Keep on Menu Planning (I think that is really working out well)
  • Make meals from items at the house (except the deer meat)
  • Once again, Grocery Stores look boring - Cha Ching, money saved
Just joining me, check out my $30 Challenge Page and see how I've been doing.
